I brought my overly hyper and enthusiastic 1 year old Austrialian Shephard to Sandy Paws for doggie daycare the first time early last year.  Right away I could tell that there was something special about this place.  They did not just take my dog and my money and send me on my way, instead they asked me questions about my dog about how they should handle her.  These questions really showed me that they were conserned with giving her the best daycare experience possible.

After coming back to pick my dog up, she was noticeably more obedient and calm.  She played pretty much the entire 5 hours I left her there, and slept the whole afternoon when I got her home (very rare for her).  She did not jump on me once (I found out later its because they did some light training with her to teach her not too which I was so happy about!).

I decided after bringing her there a few times to enroll her into the group beginners trainging courses that were said to teach the basics like sit, stay, laydown, shake and walking calmly on a leash.  There were 6 other dogs in the group classes and all of the dogs including mine learned everything quite well in the short time spent with Sandy.  These classes really helped teach my dog obedience and respect for me, and taught me how to properly treat my dog in order to gain her respect.  Not only were these classes informative, they were also fun.  After each of the classes, we all let the dogs off their leashes and they could play together for a little bit.

I had to move away to another state 6 months ago, and unfortunately I have not found another daycare here.  I have tried 4 already, and none of which are even close to as good as Sandy Paws.  They dont treat my dog with the same love Sandy's employees do, and they reenforce bad habbits like jumping.  My dog and I both miss Sandy and the Paws employees!
